Dozza
In the main tower of the Rocca lies a fierce guardian of imagination and creativity: Fyrstan, the Dragon of Dozza
Legend has it that around 1062, in nearby swampy woodland, a monstrous reptile that had been killing livestock and poisoning the waters was discovered. Following a failed attempt by Knight Cassiano Oroboni and his men to defeat it, the dragon took refuge in the castle. Ever since it has awoken for just two days every two years, on the occasion of the FantastikA illustrative arts festival.
The one-of-a-kind installation was created in 2016.
