Yellow sand cave

 

Monte Castellaccio is composed of the remains of a Pleistocene beach that bordered all the Northern Appennines towards the Po Plain.

The sand can be seen starting from the slopes of Monte Castellaccio, following the educational path with the signs of "Arturo, the little elephant".
