Casatorre park
The Casatorre park is located over and along the old edges of Sillaro stream, where you can still enjoy interesting and particular sights: to the east, the hills of Romagna; to the south and the west, the lines of the Appennine mountain tops. In the park are preserved the maple-trees and elms of the ancient tree lines typical of the countryside around Bologna.

The park is located near the sport facilities, both those of Via Vara (municipal stadium, rugby field) and those of Viale Terme (swimming pool, dome, tennis courts, bowling club).

In the park there are also several centuries-old oaks: in particular there is a multi-century-old one located in the ancient rural courtyard (today used as parking lot, between the soccer and the rugby field). The courtyard is named "Casatorre", and in the mediaeval period (and until the Fifties) there was a military building. It can still partly be seen in the building that now hosts the dressing rooms of the sport facilities.
