The church dates back to the 18th century, but it underwent changes and complete reconstructions.

The ancient church of Fiorentina, until the second half of the nineteenth century was in another place. It was transferred in the 17th century central balcony of palazzo Marsigli - Duglioli and a presbytery and an apse were built up.

In the mid-20th century, a new building, in Romanesque Revival style, was erected breaking down the right side of the old palazzo Marsigli.

It features a neo-Romanesque façade.

The original tower on the left is a bell tower.

In front of the façade there is a basis of what was to become the new bell tower.
The interior is neo-Romanesque style, with whitewashed share, structures and ribs cooked.
