Piazza Garibaldi

 

The present square is the result of a town-planning intervention carried out at the end of the 18th century.

A large space for the square was obtained by demolishing the city walls and covering with earth their moats. The square enhance the side of St. Mamante church and the imposing bell tower built by Dotti.
