Until the eighteenth century, the square in front of the church of the Assumption, at the end of Via Libertà, was the external part on the east side, now is the conclusion and the widening of Via Libertà.

The small trapezoidal square (its shape accentuates the dramatic effect) has as backdrop the monumental façade of the church of the Assumption.
