Villa Acquaderni is on the low hill area near the town of Dozza. Its architecture, as a specific example of eighteenth century taste, and its role in ordering the agricultural landscape are very interesting.
The first construction dates back to 1790, according to an inscription in the lounge, where you can see the refined decorations and the original composition of the building.
The villa is a compenetration of the neoclassical style, which ennobled the country residence with a reference to the prospectus of the temple, with the style of castles and fortified villages typical of Emilia-Romagna, characterized by austerity and solidity.
The villa has several rooms with "woodland", "trompe d'oeil" and "grisaille" decorations, badges, landscapes and a curious room depicting the cave of Death.
In the 19th century, Acquaderni family, who provided the restructuring of the complex and the park, bought it.
In 1890, a votive chapel dedicated to Mary Immaculate was built up.
The belvedere tower placed in the building of the chapel, reflects the romantic-neomedieval style typical of the end of 1800.
The park has furniture items, such as the fountain, the statue, the pavilion for the belvedere.
