Church of San Lorenzo

The church of San Lorenzo was built in the Carolingian period although its first mention dates back to 1019.
In 1345 it was named Sabbioso as the river that flows alongside.

San Lorenzo has lost its original structure after renovations over the centuries, but inside are still preserved two valuable paintings, one of St. Anna Maria with Child attributed to the school of the Carracci, one of Madonna and Child with St. John Raphael.
