Piazza Zotti, near the church of Our Lady of the Assumption and the Town Hall, with views of the ridges that surround the village, is an historical place as once a cistern for water collection laid beneath it in order to supply all the inhabitants.
Over the centuries, water supply has always been a problem for Dozza, so that the name derives from the Latin "Dutia", in Italian "shower" or "storage for the waters."
It dates back to 1400 and takes is name from the mayor who built the tank.
Piazza Rocca, situated in front of Sforza's Castle, is contemporary to Piazza Zotti and hosts musical events on the stage set up in the ditch.
Piazza Carducci is the first square just across the door of the ravelin, and it's also called "Montmartre" thanks to the twinning between Dozza and Montmartre invented by the local journalist Dino Biondi.
During renovation works, the jacket of an ancient well was found below the square.
