Memorial to the World War II Fallen Civilians

The plaque is on the Town Hall front wall. It is quite wide, made of marble.

It bears the following inscription (here translated into English):

"The Municipality to its fallen - civilian victims of the 1940-1945 war".

Then the names of 239 dead civilians follow.

The plaque was set just after the end of the war, on the first anniversary of Italy's liberation, to commemorate the price in human lives paid by Castel San Pietro Terme for the cause of freedom.

Address: Piazza xx Settembre, 3 - 40024 Castel San Pietro Terme (BO)
