The plaque is on the Town Hall front wall. It is quite wide, made of marble.
It bears the following inscription (here translated into English):
"The Municipality to its fallen - civilian victims of the 1940-1945 war".
Then the names of 239 dead civilians follow.
The plaque was set just after the end of the war, on the first anniversary of Italy's liberation, to commemorate the price in human lives paid by Castel San Pietro Terme for the cause of freedom.

How to get to Castel San Pietro Terme
It hangs on the main wall of the Municipal Palace, in Piazza XX Settembre.
On April 25th and on the first sunday of november the victims of World War I and World War II (here called "the great wars") are commemorated, and laurel wreaths are placed under the two plaques.
