A recent important study, catalogue and archive research has allowed to recognise around ten buildings and rural farms in the municipality of Castel S. Pietro dating back to the second half of the XVI century. In particular, the "Borgovecchio" farm, located in the locality of Magione, seems to represent the typology linking ring of the so-called "nut" house, a model by architect Dotti, with four layers. Also "San Bonaventura" estate in San Lorenzo della Gaiana and the so-called "La Casaccia" house, located in Poggio, are worthy of notice: both of them are rural elements typical of the second half of the XVI century and still well preserved today.
Opening hours: Rural houses are accessible on reservation. Rural houses are placed in the hamlets of Castel San Pietro Terme.
