Villa Scarselli in Osteria Grande

 

Only a small part of the XVI century building is still preserved in the park, characterised by vegetation that was planted in the XIX century.

The area is located over an archaeological site of the Roman period, which will be valorised in the forthcoming years.

Villa Scarselli has belonged to different families: Spada, Manolesi, Scarselli, Golfarelli, but now it belongs to the Municipality of Castel San Pietro Terme.

Opening hours: open all year round. By now only the park is accessible.

The villa is in Osteria Grande, inside Scarselli park.

It is approximately 7 kilometres far from Castel San Pietro and can be easily reached running along the Via Emilia 9 Highroad.

The monumental coat of arms of Scarselli family was restored by the Group for the Valorisation of Sillaro Valley and is probably going to be placed in the future civic museum.
