Summer municipal Arena
The Arena of Castel San Pietro Terme has returned to life, a truly unique and fascinating place, that the inhabitants has long dreamed to see back to its former glory.
The City Council has started works in late 2004, with the functional recovery of the outside, while the total renovation of the building with a theater stage and dressing rooms will be the subject of a separate later project.
The work was inaugurated in 2007 and there are theater performances, music and film.
It has 400 seats, a wide stage and a great screen.

Opening hours: the Arena is open only in summer during the events on programme.

At the beginning of the '30s, Azienda Autonoma di Cura e Soggiorno promoted the realization of a summer theatre for lyrical shows and open-air films.
So the Arena was realized to entertain the population with performances organized by the local dramatic society.
After being damaged by the Great War in 1948 it was putting right again and the events continued before being interrupted for good.
Today renewing workings are underway and in 2004, the recovery of the external pert was already begun.
