The "Due Forni" farm brought to light important data and findings which belonged to an urban-rustic villa of the I/II century B.C.
It was probably very prestigious both at an architectural level and for its comforts: there were, for instance, some heated rooms.
The exceptionality of the place, though, is given by the discovery of a big rectangular basin in hydro-cement with two small basins on the sides.
It is a handicraft structure without comparison face to other findings in the national territory.
The most reliable hypothesis presently is that it was used for fish breeding.

The archaeological site is located next to the golf club of Castel S. Pietro Terme, in the corner of Via Viara that climbs to the hills and the end of the long Viale Terme, a road that links the town centre and the thermal area.
