The church dates back to the 17th century and rises in the countryside of Castel San Pietro Terme not far from Hippocampus, a modern centre of racehorse training. It belongs to Bacci-Ruffo estate.

How to get to Castel San Pietro Terme
From Bologna, follow the highroad Via Emilia (SS 9) towards Castel San Pietro Terme, go past Osteria Grande and, before arriving in Gallo Bolognese, turn left into Via Mori. Follow this road until the end and you will reach the crossroads with Stradelli Guelfi. The church is located on the right of this crossroads.
