Official Tourist Information Site of Imola's Area
Via Selice, of Roman origins, had a fundamental function, as it linked Imola to the sea, which once was closer.
Appio Claudio, commander of the Roman militiae of Silla, ordered the construction of this street, almost 15 miles long, and had it paved with flintstones (selci), from which comes its name.
It ended at Captus Silicis, today called Conselice.
Indirizzo: via Selice - 40026 Imola (BO)
How to get to Imola
From the tollgate it is the main street you reach right after the exit.
On exiting Imola it continues towards Firenze and its name changes to "Selice - Montanara".
It is the street that crosses the industrial site and connects Imola to the south-western area of Massa Lombarda.
The town stretch flows into eastern Via Emilia, still in the town centre.
