Official Tourist Information Site of Imola's Area
The building was the residence of the Counts Ginnasi-Poggiolini whose coat of arms is still visible on the sides overlooking Via Cavour and Via Appia.
The 18th century restoration works aimed to give the same style to the various parts of this complex, some of which dated back to the 16th century.
Palazzo Ginnasi has two courtyards, a service courtyard that can be visited entering from 65, Via Cavour and a main courtyard featuring a fountain surmounted by a statue of Neptune.
On the ground floor there are two rooms where there is a decorative wall cycle consisting of eight landscapes painted by Alessandro Dalla Nave and Antonio Villa.
