Palazzo della Cassa di Risparmio

This elegant building stretches along the left hand side of Via Cavour.

It houses the head office of the Cassa di Risparmio di Imola (Imola's Savings Bank). Erected by the architect Giuseppe Baccini, it was enlarged in 1919 and 1920.

Medallions bearing inscriptions that celebrate the bank’s charity activities decorate its façade.

The Italian poet Giosuè Carducci wrote six of these inscriptions. Luigi Paolini, who ran the bank from 1885 to 1925, wrote the others.
