Official Tourist Information Site of Imola's Area
The building was erected by the architect Giorgio Fiorentino by order of Calderini family, who was under the rule of the Riario-Sforza, lords of Imola.
The influence of the Tuscan architecture (particularly Brunelleschi's) is evidenced by the sandstone ashlar façade and the two rows of mullioned windows with two lights.
In the 16th century, deeds were drawn up and justice was publicly administered in the stone desks stretching along the façade.
